Emma is a Dutch choreographer, dancer and teacher. She graduated from the Urban/Contemporary department at the Theaterschool Amsterdam and danced with companies in Europe and Israel. She also trained with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and Batsheva Dance Company.
She won Amsterdans in 2018, the KURT JOOSS choreographic Preis (Germany) in 2019 and was awarded with the title of Emerging choreographer at the Springboard Awards 2020. Together with Remy Tilburg she won the NDT partnership award at RIDCC 2021.
Her expertise reaches out to fashion, artistic and commercial. She created choreographies for international films for brands such as Seat, Vlisco, Coca Cola, S.Oliver, Lidl and Elle Magazine among others. Her work for the artistic short film sisters was selected by KLM airlines as the first dance short film ever. In 2020, Emma’s first directors debut was announced by the Dutch film fund.
